(G)I-DLE members seem to have gone in a different direction ever since Soojin's alleged school bullying surfaced in late February. Following that YUQI and SOYEON have gone on to release SOLO Singles back to back.
Apparently, it all started with actor Seo Shin-ae had recently accused (G)I-DLE's Soojin of bullying her in middle school. This did not go well with the Management who decided to remove Soojin from (G)I-DLE song following her bullying controversy. That is a real shame. Soojin was a Vocal Talent of the Group.
YUQI - A Page
Let's get back to the topic of discussion. Whether Soojin's removal triggered a change in (G)I-DLE's future course is debatable, but in May 2021, YUQI was set to release her first solo single. The singer announced over at her official Weibo account on 5 May, and unveiled the single album's title, 'A Page', along with its 13 May release date. The single has 2 songs: GIANT | BONNIE & CLYDE, both songs are performed completely in English.
Jeon Soyeon, the stylish rapper of the group next got in on the SOLO act with her mini-album titled "Windy". It was released on July 5, 2021 with "Beam Beam" as the album's title track. It was an instant success and hit #1 on the Worldwide iTunes Album Chart in no less than 21 countries.
Soyeon for the album dons a more carefree image with a Summer Theme. Windy is sort of a parody, taking a dig at American fast-food chain, Wendy’s. Soyeon used this concept that and even staged a fake launch for the grand opening her ‘Windy Burger’ just hours before the release of the album.
The rapper-songwriter has also got herself involved in lyrics as well as the production of all 5 tracks of this mini-album. The total play time for 5 songs is 14 min 4 secs. Other tracks include Weather, Psycho, Quit. Track #5 ‘Is this bad b******number?’ features Lee Youngji and BIBI.
Also it has to be noted that MINNIE do did a similar project without the other (G)I-DLE members of the group, not exactly a SOLO act but featured alongside Australian YouTuber Wengie. It was released on October 18, 2019.
(G)I-DLE formed by Cube Entertainment in 2018, the group consists of six members: Miyeon, Minnie, Soojin, Soyeon, Yuqi, and Shuhua. The group has signed with Universal Japan for their Japanese releases and Republic Records for US releases. They are quite simply the best there is in KPop leaving aside the music produced by KPop giants SM Entertainment, YG Entertainment, JYP Entertainment and Big Hit Entertainment.
In 2021 Soojin was reportedly has been cut from one of the group's upcoming songs, following her bullying controversy. This comes as a serious blow to the group as she is the most talented vocalist of the group in my view who has a clear and artistic voice. Nevertheless, the group move on with their activities.
Three members come outside of South Korea - Shuhua is Taiwanese; Yuqi is Chinese; Minnie is Thai.
Miyeon, was a YG Entertainment trainee and was supposed to debut as the 5th member of BLACKPINK but that didn't happen. Why? Reports suggest she was out holidaying with a fellow YG trainee and was promptly relieved from the agency.
The group has once again proved that there is endless vocal talent in KPop. The official fandom name of (G)I-DLE is Neverland.
The singing style draws inspiration from 2NE1. But, again they are following the same KPop girl group trend of various members adopting different singing / rapping styles. However, the group has managed to create an identity which is very important for their success and they have done just that. This definitely a group to watch out for.
The music videos are simply stunning and CUBE has presented the group fabulously and elegantly. The group primarily focuses on Genres such as K-pop dance, Pop, Electropop, hip-hop and EDM. Not to mention the pin point accurate and soulful music composed makes it even more appealing!
Quiet frankly the groups vocal talent has impressed me after ITZY & IZ*One in recent times, that I have reviewed. They are simply mind blowing!! There is so much on offer.
The Songs - LION, HAAN (Alone) and Oh My God are outstanding and punch such variations with powerful beats and great background music bits, that you just can't stop listening to them over and over again. Where is Love is a great Party Song for me!! Senorita shows the groups flair while HWAA is subtle yet powerful in nature. LION has the best music video! Uh-Oh, What's Your Name, Blow Your Mind, Lost and Help Me are other best songs. Latata and Dumdi-Dumdi are fan favorites.

Can you picturize a song any better than this? This is freaking awesome! Totally love the black & white bits. Gyro Swinging Camera movements remind me of Boyzone's - When the going gets tough! Great choreography! Love the visuals of Shuhua & Soojin. Soojin voice is excellent. Soeyon as usual looks freaky and rap is top notch. The rhyming of Korean words is just next level. You might argue isn't Lion King of the Jungle and but the group refer the Lion to a Queen. This song was specially made for a KPop Girl Group television program that aired on Mnet featuring (G)-Idle and 5 other girl groups. The song is featured in digital single Queendon Final Comeback! The music video was created by Digipedi and choreographed by Star System.

The opening few lines give a very Cult like and Gothic feel, like a chant to bring or keep evil at bay! The part leading up to the title is awesome.
Soeyon as usual looks very freaky and rap is top notch. Miyeon, Yuqi and Soojin are brilliant in vocals.

Pity there is no MV for this. But you can overlay the Blow Your Mind MV over this song. That should take care of that! This song's highlight is the opening lines of Soeyon and the rap blast in the middle that goes like this!

Interesting Senorita samples bits of their own LION, MOMOLAND's BAAM and Britney Spears BREAK THE ICE, would you believe. But, the trumpet bits and fake Spanish accent calling out 'Senorita' is outstanding. Wish the music video was pictured with an actual Spanish flair! The setting for the MV is a Hotel, Street & Theater. Wait a minute... Now I get it... This MV focusses on Bad Luck, Misfortune and Accident waiting to happen... Just like Final Destination movie. And not to mention the Kaja Cosmetics endorsement.
