Keyakizaka46 - Silent Majority & Futari Saison

Keyakizaka46 is a Japanese idol girl group produced by Akimoto Yasushi. They are signed to Sony Music Japan. 

The group was created on August 21, 2015, becoming Nogizaka46's sister group. The group is named after the Keyakizaka street in the Roppongi district of Minato, Tokyo, Japan. They have released 8 Singles (with 1 more in 2020) sold over 7 million copies in Japan. 

The group will cease its activity in October 2020 and will resume activities under a new name.

The music style typical JPop, a mix of classical and modern beats incorporating Guitars, Bass, Violins, Piano, Synths, Drums & Percussion with variations in tempo and switchbacks. The singing style is Coupling. Their music is one for easy listening and well conducted. A typical song on average is just over 4 minutes long. Incidentally Futari Saison and Silent Majority were the first two songs I ever head of the group and ever since I have got hooked to them as their music sells and its a real deal when it comes to entertainment.

Silent Majority, the first single sold over 250,000 copies in its first week, the most for a debut Female group/artist. Futari Saison, the third single, another stand out hit, sold over 440,000 copies in first week, a record breaker. Hirate Yurina, the youngest member of the group features as the center in both songs.

3rd Single Hit Campaign - Futari Saison

While Silent Majority has a more politically influenced message, urging people to use their right to vote, Futari Saison is focussed on High Schoolers.

[Episode 59] 3rd Single Campaign - Play The Song Before Anyone Else!

For Futari Saison, they chose few schools across Japan and handed out the Promotional CD to be played out in the School Radio so that their fans at schools can enjoy it before anyone else. A special episode was aired on Keyakitte, Kakenai - [Episode 59] 3rd Single Campaign – Play The Song Before Anyone Else! showing the group actively campaigning to promote the new single. Incidentally, it happens to be the same school where Ozeki Rika's mother went to study.

[Episode 60] 3rd Single Campaign - in Kyoto.

Kyoto Municipal Transportation Bureau gave their full cooperation to the group. Keyakizaka46 presented posters to the Station master or Head at all stations on the Karasuma Line and Tozai Line that criss crossed across Kyoto. This time the members are divided in 2 groups with 5 member each as they commute on Kyoto Subway on 2 separate subway lines to put out posters with help from Subway Station Managers and sign their names on it for promoting the album. They also get to visit few prominent locations, pray at shrines, perform various tasks assigned to them, taste local food/sweets/ice cream etc., meet owners of local shops and hand out promotional materials. They finally descended towards Kyoto Hall to meet the Mayor.

Formation of the Rows for MV/Dance/Performances: 

Formation of the rows were done based on the Senbatsu System (some kind of voting) and were disclosed to the members on subsequent episodes over at their weekly Variety Show - Keyakitte, Kakenai.
