Tohoshinki (東方神起) - HOT HOT HOT

Release:
"HOT HOT HOT / Mirrors", the 47th Japanese single by South Korean k-pop/j-pop duo Tohoshinki's (東方神起 / TVXQ / THSK) was released on July 31, 2019 under the Avex Trax label. It was also featured on their 10th studio album XV (2019).  It was offered as a standard CD single, a limited edition single with a 24-page Photobook, and the Tohoshinki's fanclub, Bigeast exclusive version.

Music Video:

MV Theme: The music video is all about Summer and how "Hot" it is!! MV starts off with the summer heat effecting a quartet - Mechanic, A middle aged Office Goer/Business Man/A Restaurant Order Taker/3 School Girls, who are in need of a summer break. The Duo feel the heat and approach a Hot Dog food truck when Changmin is drew towards the Hot Dog and stops Yunho for a quick bite. The glum looking Hot Dog seller gives them one each and with the first bite the duo spring into life and as the beet kick in are seen dancing away. The video then transitions into various summer activities and there is a lot of Sun, Sand, Sea and Beach. The duo are seen sailing on a sailboat, riding bicycle, dancing on the beach and at the American style Restaurant Driveway. Even the quartet, spring into life after a bite of hot dog. Add a couple of women in beachwear taking a dip for good measure. The video concludes with a bunch of extras (who bought and ate hot dogs from the Hot Dog Truck) in restaurant driveway dancing along with the duo. Hilarious, gets you in Party Mode!! There are also a lot of Captions and CGI effects added as well to give a party feel. Hot Dogs Anyone????

Genre:
J-pop, Dance with a Summer Theme

Japanese Charts:
The single sold 59,230 copies on its first day and 64,878 copies in the month of July. Pretty poor in sales when compared to other releases and the lowest selling since 2008. That is quite preposterous and as a fan bitterly disappointing personally.

Tohoshinki (東方神起) - Catch Me

Release: The Japanese version of "Catch Me" was released by Avex Trax in Japan as Tohoshinki's ( 東方神起 / TVXQ / THSK) 36th Japanese CD single on January 16, 2013.

Performed by:
  • U-Know Yunho - Leader, Main Dancer, Main Rapper, Vocalist
  • Max Changmin - Main Vocalist, Maknae
Musical Style: "Catch Me" is an electropop song with orchestral melodies, dubstep sounds, house beats, and powerful vocal belting.

Music Video: Filming for the music video took place in August 2012 at the Ilsan Art House.

Tony Testa, TVXQ Catch Me — Production Note: The beat was two places at once; on one end it was this really hard-hitting heavy dubstep, and then it would just flip on a dime into this light piano-tingled, floating verse and chorus. So I was like constantly at war with myself, trying to figure out how I was going to make this song come to life conceptually.

Performances: TVXQ performed the song at their Catch Me World Tour and the Japanese version at their Japan-wide Time Tour throughout 2013.

Japanese Charts: Catch Me was a commercial success and sold 84,666 (on debut), 134,304 (weekly) and overall 156,537 copies in a 9 week chart run in Japan. The single is certified Gold by Japan (RIAJ),
