A former Japanese Idol (from PiiiiiiiN) Miss Riko Shitamitsu has won "2020 Miss Japan" Tokyo Tournament Grand Prix held in August 2020 (my bad.. late again to get there in time..).
Miss Riko Shitamitsu was the lead vocalist of JPop Idol Group PiiiiiiiiN which frequently appeared in Tokyo Idol Festivals right up to disbanding in May 2017.
While most members went their separate ways, the beautiful Miss Riko chose modelling and has since been an active model in Tokyo, Japan. She represented Tokyo in Miss Japan contest.
The final selection of the "2020 Miss Japan" Tokyo Tournament was held in Tokyo on the 25th, August and Mitsu Riko won the Grand Prix. On this day, 11 finalists were decided by T-shirt shorts and swimwear examination out of 23 participants (1 of them was absent), and after dress examination and Q & A, the finalists were decided.
At the venue, the dance team Fullcast Razors stage was held, and Tsuchiya Hosuke, who won the first Grand Prix last year, gave a talk show and got excited. (Src: Modelpress)
The truth is... I am crazy about her, as she was the first totally biased idol of mine !! ;-)
PiiiiiiiN was the first JPop Idol Group I ever followed, even before BiS.
You Don't Believe Me!!
Here is PiiiiiiiN dancing to BiS Song "nerve" and the rest is literally history!
The group of 7 formed by Star Ray Productions in December 2013. Their singing and coordinated choreography was simply outstanding. They frequently appeared at Music Clubs and Tokyo Idol Festival shows. Their music style was Indie / Rock with their Idol concept being "Theme Parks" much like their sister group to PPP! PiXiON. Few of their songs were composed by Master Musician & Composer Kenta Matsukama.
This is another popular blog with good readership and ranks in Top 10 most viewed blogs!!
JPop Profile
A loving 7-member group has a youth rock concept that is cute and cool! They Attracts fans with intense performances! Members average age is only 16.5 years old! Visual quality is a hot topic in the industry and they didn't fail to deliver!
On May 31, 2015, the first solo one-man "Transcendence ♡ Lovely Youth Rock Live ~ Recommended! Budokan! Lady Go! Budokan! ~" Will be held at the Harajuku Belle Epoque Beauty College Event Hall!
The target number of mobilization of 500 people has been successfully cleared, and it has been decided that the 2nd one-man live will be held at Shinjuku BLAZE on July 4th !! 2015 hottest idol unit!
The 7 i's in PiiiiiiiN represent each member of the group.
Alas.. PiiiiiiiN disbanded in May 2017. PiiiiiiiN Member Emiri Suga explained that they decided to disband because they didn't feel like their hearts connected as one. She also explained that they genuinely didn't want to put in the effort anymore, they felt the obstacles were too big and so they didn't want to lie to the fans. Hara Ayano became a successful solo musician while Emiri joined a new Idol outfit QUEENS. No news on the other 5 members :-(
In 2018 they were reformed by their agency with a new lineup after an rigorous audition. PiiiiiiiN 2nd, whose concept is "Lovely Youth ROCK IDOL", restarted in May 2018 with a new members.
The members are seven active high school students who have won auditions on a nationwide scale. The looks quality gathered from all over Japan is a hot topic in the idol industry!
In less than two months after their debut, they got a chance to perform at the three major summer festivals of idols, TOKYO IDOL FESTIVAL 2018, Idol Yokocho Summer Festival 2018, and @JAM EXPO 2018.
PiiiiiiiN 2nd released a double-sided A-side single "Jumping / Blackboard Melody" with FIFTY-FIFTY Records in no less than 5 freaking editions, on March 12th, 2019.
It has songs that fit the name of youth rock and fresh live performances that are typical of high school students. While keeping the concept of the group and the music, he is energetically working again with freshness as a new weapon, but they fail to match the charisma of the original PiiiiiiiN unit! They disbanded again after a solo live on August 8, 2020.
