Girls Generation Forever1

Some big KPop names have planned for a in August 2022 and Girls’ Generation is one among them. It was long due for the members who are busy with personal projects and other commitments to finally team up and deliver a much awaited album through SM Entertainment to commemorate the group's 15th anniversary since their debut in 2007.

KPop Legends Girls’ Generation 소녀시대_released “FOREVER 1” on August 5, 2022 by S.M. Entertainment. This is the first release since 2017, before they went on a hiatus. The return was hinted on May 17th and formally announced on July 24th by SM Entertainment. Promotions were started on July 25th.

It includes an MV & Digital Release. All 8 members: Taeyeon, Sunny, Tiffany, Hyoyeon, Yuri, Sooyoung, Yoona, and Seohyun took part in this album comprising of 10 songs.

The Physical Album/CD (Their 7th Album) Release was on August 8, 2022.

Music Video: 

The song is nice to listen to, a classic GG track. The title track comprises of a groovy dance-pop feel with an upbeat melody that has full of energy, vibrant and gives a festive mood. The song is composed by Kenzie (also the lyrics) and Ylva Dimberg. The song was recorded at SM Lvyin Studio, mixed at SM Blue Ocean Studio and Mastered at 821 Sound Mastering.

Apart from the title track others kinda appear as fillers but are distinct in different ways. It depends on how your thoughts are and do you want to listen to them again.

Commercial Success:

The album debuted #2 on South Korea's Circle Album charts, #18 on Billboard Japan Hot Albums chart, #14 on Oricon Albums Chart, #4 on Digital Albums Chart, #16 on US Billboard Heatseekers Albums Chart, #28 on UK Digital Album Chart and #10 in Australia's ARIA Top 50 Digital Albums Chart. NME gave the album 4 stars.

• Sunny: "The song 'Forever 1' starts with us shouting 'Forever One' which contains an eternal promise for us to our fans. Seeing what Girls' Generation has done so far, I felt proud. I also had time to think about what it would be like in the future. I think it will be fun for the fans to find out what we've been up to so far and think about what we have prepared for them in the days to come."
• Taeyeon: "We put great effort into it because it is one to commemorate our 15th anniversary. It is like a gift set album that contains a lot of our members' opinions. It’s not easy to gather the opinions of eight girls, but we all have one thing in common. We all love Girls’ Generation so much and have the same goal of wanting to protect the team, and that’s what drove us all the way here. That’s the secret to how we stayed together all this time. Every SM artist has their own worldview. And we have the worldview of ‘Goddess of Sound,’ but some of us probably don’t know it since we’re in different agencies."
• Seohyun: "After working hard in their respective solo careers for the last five years, Girls' Generation gathered in a world where they all met again. It is a concept that shows we are forever one." 
• Sooyoung: "I wanted it to remind the listeners of ‘Into The New World.’ I hope everyone can sing it all together."
• YoonA: "The song is about how you wish for long, you can meet the one you’ve been missing. As soon as I saw the lyrics, SONEs first came to mind. This was the first song that we recorded, and I was the last member to record."
