With current Idol groups getting back to normal, some groups have spawned new generation, other have added few new members and others have come up with a totally new group. Let's look at few Idol Groups who have just done that in 2022.
HKT48 6th Generation was announced on May 7, 2022 and have recruited 18 members into their line-up. Following an announcement in November 26, the group started taking applications from 10th December 2021 to 10th January 2022 (one month). The candidates had to be between the ages of 10 to 22 years old as of 2nd April 2021. Special promotions were run on Twitter & Instagram.

Pimm's unveiled their 7th Member Rissen Aili (立仙愛理; Green) who joined the group in May 2022. Special promotions were run on Twitter & Instagram.
≒JOY (ニアリーイコールジョイ; Nearly Equal Joy), also known as Near Joy (ニアジョイ), is a Japanese idol group formed on March 29, 2022. They are produced by Sashihara Rino and sister group of =LOVE & ≠ME. Special promotions were run on Twitter, YouTube & Instagram.
