Best of Scandal

Scandal (スキャンダル) is a Japanese all girl Rock Band based out of Osaka, Japan. They started as a high school Live Street Performers in 2006. Eventually they got signed to the indie label Kitty Records.

Scandal released their major debut single, "Doll", on Epic Records Japan (a division of Sony Music Japan) in October 2008. The band establish their own private record label named "her" in 2019.

The band has released over 25 singles, 9 Albums in last 15 years. They have been consistently in top 10 list for many years under the "Most-Requested Artists" category of J-MELO Awards.

The were nominated for Best New Artist at the 51st Japan Record Awards in 2009.

As with other JPop and JRock band they have recorded music for many Japanese Animes with Bleach, Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, Pokémon the Movie: Diancie and the Cocoon of Destruction being some of their notable works.

They have toured and performed live in United States, France, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Taiwan, Indonesia, Thailand, South Korea, Germany, Macau to name a few.

Musical Style:

The band's music is mainly Pop Rock, Pop Punk, Alternative Rock and Garage Rock.

Take Me Out (テイクミーアウト) released on 27-07-2016, stands out as their best Single and Song by far. It was their 23rd major single (26th overall). It was released in three editions: two limited CD Only editions and a regular CD only edition. The music packs a mean punch of strong guitar riffs, heavy drum beats and booming bass rhythm.

Eternal was released on 03-03-2021, their 25th major single (28th overall). It was released in four versions. This is very special song and has a magical feel to it. A truly modern classic rock song.

Secret Base Kimi ga kureta mono is another superb classic. The original version was by Zone and it was chosen to be recorded by a Twitter poll out of over 600 candidates to be included on the band's first cover mini-album, R-GIRL's ROCK!.

Scandal just out performed the original version and it just because a masterpiece of thier work both in terms of singing and musical performance. Haruna is just brilliant. The Music & Lyrics are by Machida Norihiko and Arrangement by Miyanaga Jiro.

Shunkan Sentimental is a very popular song. Other notable songs are Tsuki, Bright, Pride and Namida no Regret.
