Blank Bucket - Lost Future

This post features a couple of songs by a little known rock group called Blank Bucket from their mini-album Lost Future. Humm.. Interesting title!
Blank Bucket is bucket loads of talent that is literally blank when it comes to going mainstream. You may not even heard about them at all. Why? Cuz, most of their music or whatever little they have to offer, is doing the rounds over on digital platforms. Quiet surprisingly its available also on my neighborhood where JPop, JRock is still alien. Let's cut to the chase....
Band/Members:
Blank Bucket is a quartet of hard rockers dubbed the Violin ROCK BAND.. Yes, their music is a mix of Violin + Rock Music. They were formed in 2010 in Tokyo, Japan. They like to characterize their music as a blend of Rock with a harmonious Melody with a unique view. And here are the Rockers....
Hara Yusuke 原 祐介 (Vocals & Guitar)
Shiroiwa Yuki 下田 竜郎 (Violin) - Awesome Violinist!
Simoda Tatsuro 白岩 雄基 (Bass)
Kazami Yuki 風見 祐基 (Drums)

Now, lets get to the music. The mini-album "Lost Future" was released on 08/07/2015 by Snowman Records. It features 7 tracks including the absolutely brilliant Violin Rock Songs - Shinkokyu, Stand by Me and Ameagari No Endroll. You can skip the others tracks.

Shinkokyu, was released as a Single initially and was later included as a part of the mini-album.

7 Ameagari No Endroll - (風の散歩道) (04:04) - 3 Stars

Featured Tracks:
Shinkokyu

Shinkokyu is truly an awesome song and the best track of the mini-album by miles. The songs starts with a heavy bass note and then the guitars and drums pick up. And finally the Violin plays the main theme that stands out as the song's main identity. Singing is done only by Yusuke. His singing is not bad but we've heard better. This tune was very well executed and has a great melody. The Guitar has a powerful riff, the bass lines are very true and deep, drumming is excellent, but the highlight is the Violin solo punctuating throughout the song and does stand out as the main feature if not as the backing vocals for the lead singer. But to summarize, this mix of Guitar, Bass, Drums and of course Violin that came out perfect and is one to go on a repeat mode in my music player!

The MV features a girl strolling and dancing through the night while the band is jamming in a dark room.

Another stand out track is Stand by Me.

Stand by Me follows the on the same note as Shinkokyu but is very pleasant and Yusuke has done a far better job here. This has a more calming effect with a more harmonious sound coming from the Violin.  The song's melody in general is not a brute smashing rock but is quite gentle and beautiful. Singing too is very different as opposed to Shinkokyu. Another brilliant track in this mini-album.

Finally, there is Ameagari No Endroll.
This is an outright Rocking song. Violin solo? Yes, its there and blends well with the guitar. Actually, the Violin at places sounds like a guitar.
Mini-Album Rating:
3 out of 5 Stars (Shiroiwa Yuki's Violin skills is noteworthy)

Bottomline:
Shinkokyu is one for the ages even though the band is destined for a Lost Future!
