YENA - Smiley
Smiley is the debut extended play (EP) by South Korean singer Choi Ye-na feat. BIBI. It was released on 17 January 2022, by Yuehua Entertainment. The MV is so-so, but just the audio/song alone is worth listening to and definitely one for the playlist and repeat playback. The BIBI's Rap part for unnecessary IMHO, because it doesn't need it, cuz it is such a happy song that puts a smile on your face.
YENA - Smartphone
“SMARTPHONE” is a rock-pop anthem by YENA. This is under her mini-album of the same name released on 3 August 2022. The funky electronic pop-rock rhythm that compliments YENA’s light vocals, lyrically the song is about describes a fun hangout with someone you admire the most.
Sandara Park - Festival
Sandara Park (Dara of 2NE1) released first digital mini album “SANDARA PARK” along with the music video for the title track "FESTIVAL" on 12 July 2023 through Abyss Company. The MV for 'Festival' takes Sandara Park to a fantastical, candy-covered festival, filled with classic rides and gift shops. A great comeback by a KPop Superstar and we wish her the best and will be looking out for more great music from her.
TWICE - Got The Thrills
TWICE made a comeback with their 12th mini-album, READY TO BE on 10 March 2023 via JYP Entertainment. The title track was "Set Me Free". It also featured the song Moonlight Sunrise and the best one in my opinion called is definitely "Got the Thrills". After last year’s Talk That Talk which was a revelation, this song is a natural successor. Not a totally new thing you have heard but is very groovy nonetheless. This goes to show that a B-Side can top an A-Side any day despite not getting its due glory or fame unfortunately.
(G)I-DLE - Queencard
I Feel is the sixth Korean extended play (eighth overall) by South Korean girl group (G)I-dle. It was released by Cube Entertainment digitally on 15 May 2023, and physically the following day. The EP contains six tracks, including the pre-released video track "Allergy" and the lead single "Queencard". This is a wacky song and I was so surprised when I heard it. It's OK I guess. I want more of LION, HANN (Alone), My God, HWAA, and Senorita....
JISOO - Flower
"Flower" (Korean: 꽃) is the debut solo single by South Korean singer and Blackpink member Jisoo. It was released on March 31, 2023 by YG Entertainment. She became the first K-Pop Female Artist To Enter UK Singles Chart slotting in at Number 38.
ITZY - None of My Business
ITZY have released a music video for 'None of My Business', a track from their upcoming mini-album 'Kill My Doubt', set for release on 31 July 2023 by JYP Entertainment. It's a very somber track when compared to their previous hits, but I guess it's literally 'None of My Business'.
NMIXX - "O.O"
"O.O" is a song recorded by South Korean girl group Nmixx for their debut single album Ad Mare. It was released as the lead single by JYP Entertainment on 22 February 2022. This dual best song came to some mixed reactions due to a sudden change in beat in between which is overwhelming. It should / could / would have been nice if it were 2 different songs. The 2nd piece is freaking awesome. But some genius ruined it. Shame! And if ITZY can debut with Dalla Dalla... NMIXX will top them with Baila, Baila, Baila. A beautiful song turned into a disaster.
