フェアリーズ (Fairies) was a Japanese five-member (max 7 members at one time) female dance and vocal J-Pop Idol group managed by Rising Production. The label is SONIC GROOVE (of AVEX Group). Debuted in September 2011 with "More Kiss / Song for you" with the concept of "a world-class talented group that can compete overseas". The same year, he won the Best New Artist Award at the 53rd Japan Record Awards, beating K-Pop legends 2NE1 and SUPER☆GiRLS.. Their song "White Angel" also won them a Gold Award at Japan Record Awards — 2012. They also won couple of Japan Cable Awards as well.

Their vocal and dance skills have been recognized since his debut, and they are also known to have many female fans of the same generation who are admired. Their best works were 16th Single "Hey Hey ~Light Me Up~" released on February 28, 2018 which chared at #2 and 13th Single "Crossroad" (クロスロード) released on August 10, 2016 that charted at #3 on the Oricon Charts. KENZO of DA PUMP, at one time, taught them to dance and choreograph. Sub-unit M3 is a derived unit consisting of Miki (Shimomura), Miria (Fujita), and Mahiro (Hayashida). All three were born in 1998 and were in the same grade.

On June 17, 2020, it was announced by Rising Production that after several discussions with the members, Rikako Inoue, Sora Nomoto and Mahiro Hayashida had decided to terminate their contracts with the agency, with Rikako also retiring from the show business. Momoka Ito and Miki Shimomura would remain in the agency and start working individually. Although Fairies' activities ended as a group, the agency revealed that they had not disbanded and their future activities were "undecided".

Members:

Members were selected from more than 100 candidates attending dance schools in 13 Affiliated regions across Japan. Though they were very young and in their early teens, they trained hard which paid off. They could even give a Professional Singer / Performer a run for their money. Such was the talent in these girls. Their mature voice was very proficient in all their songs (no cute kawaii shit stuff, baby yodelling or toddler tantrums), I mean it they are very professional. That was a great thing in many Avex artists. They very not just good at singing, they danced well and looked pretty too... A perfect package.

Ito Momoka is the Face of the Group and has fronted many if not all their songs. Trust me, she is a real talent and not just a Poker Face.

伊藤萌々香, Ito Momoka, was born December 15, 1997 in Saitama Prefecture. On July 23, 2014, she made her solo debut with a single titled "Poker Face". It peaked at number 16 on the Oricon chart. The single contained two songs, the title track that had previously been included on Fairies' debut self-titled album and a B-side titled "Look at Me!!".

Fantastic song with great energy. And the Choreography is hilarious but totally fits the song. This reminded me so much of the young Girls Generation. The members are captured beautifully and look very cute. A great party song. The MV is a must watch. Undoubtedly, the best work of The Fairies.

Just love the energy in this song. The MV Production and Art Work didn't quite suit the song but the members do so well in their performance as angels dressed in black and without wings. Another one that has Choreography, simply beautiful. The Intro Sequence of Music, Some dance steps borrowed from Girls Generation. It won't drown on you immediately, but this song is a ageless wonder. You get to appreciate it the more you listen to it. The beats in this song is very infectious!! I just get the name of the song as it is titled White Angel and yet they keep saying Beautiful Angel all over the song. It has to be actually titled as Beautiful Angel... Well that's how Japanese work with English I guess.
