SKE48 27th Single

SKE48 dropped their super cool 27th Single on February 3rd, 2021 and it is a real winner.

Released under avex trax, it has 5 songs and available in many variants/editions.

"Koi Ochi Flag” also serves as the the graduation single of SKE48 founding member Matsui Jurina and it will also be her last time she is in a CENTER position for SKE48. She also has written 2 songs.

Matsui had been included in the promotional lineup of all singles of SKE48 except "Sōyūtoko Aru yo ne?" and has centered in some 21 Singles.

With AKB48, Matsui had been included in the promotional lineup of 43 singles of AKB48 and served as the center for 6 singles.

This is the first time ever that all SKE48 members are included in the Senbatsu, and for that matter the first of any AKB48 Group! It is the largest Senbatsu ever assembled. Of these excluded are members who have announced their graduation from SKE48.

1. Koi Ochi Flag (恋落ちフラグ) / Senbatsu

Koi Ochi Flag is a groovy fast flowing track with rap elements, booming bass and nice Synth. The transition in music is disappointing and breaks the song. Otherwise it is the best by Akimoto Yasushi when compared to last year. No complaints of his English language usage! Bravo!

2. Memories 〜Itsu no Hi ka Aeru Made〜 (Memories 〜いつの日か会えるまで〜) / Matsui Jurina Graduation Song

Memories - Matsui Jurina Graduation Song which is a ballad, and has been excellently performed by the SKE legend. Song composition is typical Japanese tune and a classic. A fitting song for Jurina.

3. Change Your World / Black Pearl

Change Your World by Black Pearl unit is a very Japanese Anime Theme/Opening kind of song. Nice guitar, bass and rock element in a classical tune with modern techno bits creating a very hypnotic concoction of music which has come out perfect! 

4. Anokoro no Locker (あの頃のロッカー) / Passion For You Senbatsu

Anokoro no Locker - is very HKT48ish.. Like someone is singing a High School Anthem.

5. Oto no Wareta Chime (音の割れたチャイム) / Coming Flavor

Oto no Wareta Chime - Typical AKB/SKE song.  Akimoto Yasushi is up to his old tricks. He has pulled one from his locker and refurbished a song yet again.

All songs are hip and groovy in true SKE48.. and few songs somewhat HKT48 style! After donkeys years a single to be listened to without much complaints! A must have for SKE48 lovers.

Sales & Charts:

The single Koi Ochi Flag topped Oricon Charts, selling 177,046 copies in the first day. It's an impressive number of sales but suffers a slight drop in sales compared to SKE48 26th single - So yu Toko Aru yo ne?. And most certainly no competition to sales numbers acheived by Nogizaka46's 26th Single (which racked up 400k + on first day). But, SKE48 have pulled out a surprise and all the 5 songs are good.
