ITZY is NOT SHY

ITZY dropped their 4th mini-album/EP and they are "Not Shy" of it. Released on August 17th by JYP Entertainment, this again done in typical and true ITZY style. The girls put out a bold statement and draw attention of KPop fans yet again. But, is it really that good when compared to its predecessors? 

The one that made an immediate impact was of course "ICY". That was a genuine Powerful Hit out of the box. "Dalla Dalla", well... I didn't know it was their first release lol.. Took a while to get into it. And I feel really awful for giving a dead ear to "Wannabe".. That was truly spectacular and a booming KPop hit. 

Nevertheless, ITZY has come all out with a lot of attitude and come home a winner again in 'Not Shy'. Album sales have been good and have notched up 3 Music Show Wins already and there are more to come. Congratulations to the group!!

Music Video:

"Not Shy" though however, has broken out the mold of the signature ITZY tune seen in the previous tracks of their. This song has a lot of attitude written all over it. Even the MV is Bad A**. This is sort of a love song with with girls trying out different looks and styles. The whole outlook of the MV is American, more of a Western Style. The track is infused with a mix of Hip-hop and Pop for good measure. All the girls feel that this song gives a feeling of being emotional and oozes self-confidence.

Special Mention:

The song of the album is definitely - Don’t Give A What!

No, don't get ITZY wrong here... Mostly everyone uses the 4 letter word every now and then.. But, JYP took a much more conservative route for obvious reason and this 4 letter word as WHAT! Wonder how it would have really sounded with the 4 letter word. But, you can't really expect them to go singing around a KPop song like that even with Explicit Content Warning.

Anyway, the music is rocking and has its roots of all the past ITZY Title Tracks and a few pounding beats of Sister Group TWICE. Vocals are very powerful and mind blowing! It has all the components that is needed for that classic ITZY track that you need. They seem to pick up where they left off from 'Wannabe'. Personally though I don't mind this continuity because is so Damn Good. I would have pick this to be the Title Track over NOT SHY. This is very bold and with a fast paced choreography it could have become a very catchy Dance Number. Shame, its just a B-Side. JYP, you missed the trick!

Bottomline: It will be nice if they get back into the Dalla Dalla & ICY Groove!! Don't Give A What is a real winner.
