NMB48 is a idol group based out of Japan and the 2nd sister group to AKB48. The group debuted in 2011 as produced by Yasushi Akimoto. It got its name after Namba district in Osaka city of Osaka Prefecture. They have sold over 9 million CDs in Japan. They have their own Theater where they perform regularly. They are signed with laugh out loud records.
NMB48 has had a total of 88 original members during all its four generations spanning across Groups Team N, Team B, Team BII and Kenkyuusei.
